FRESH DOUGH CO, a division of Pappy's Enterprises Inc, is located in Baltimore, MD and is a privately-owned company categorized under Pizza Dough, Prepared. We were established in 1985 and incorporated in Maryland. Currently we employ a staff of approximately 20.
In 1959, Mel and Dan Geller, along with their partner Sam Taustin, began manufacturing frozen pizza dough for a chain of pizza shops that they owned. It wasn't long before other pizza operators located in the greater Baltimore area wanted to know if they could purchase this dough. So the wholesale frozen dough manufacturer was born.
In 1970, Bob Geller joined the company as a member of the production staff. The company continued to grow until it was sold in 1985. Earlier that year, Bob saw the potential for fresh dough that could be sold to the rapidly expanding pizza delivery industry. Thus Fresh Dough Company was born as a division of Pappy's Enterprises, Inc. As pizza delivery rapidly expanded so did Fresh Dough Company grow in order to meet their needs.
In 2003, the third generation of Gellers joined the company. Ian began, as his father did, working in production and today he is the operations manager.
It was an easy transition to reenter the frozen pizza dough market in 2005. We are now able to serve a varied customer base from large universities to the smallest of pizza shops. Through our distribution network, our product reaches far beyond the Baltimore market.
